Our flexible screw conveyor connecting drive shaft (also called auger tail shaft or power transmission shaft head) is a core power transmission component specially developed for flexible screw conveying equipment (flexible auger, vehicle-mounted grain suction machine). As the key connecting part between the drive unit (motor & reducer) and the internal spiral conveying spring, it transmits stable rotary torque to drive the spiral blade to rotate continuously, thus realizing efficient horizontal, inclined or vertical conveying of bulk granular and powdery materials.
Precision-machined with strict production standards, this drive shaft features high torsional strength, excellent wear resistance and strong dimensional interchangeability, and can perfectly replace original parts of mainstream flexible augers on the market. It is widely used in agriculture, salt chemical engineering, building materials, food processing and other industries, providing reliable power transmission support for various bulk material handling systems. For salt chemical scenarios such as crude salt, washed salt and bromine salt conveying, stainless steel models are available to meet anti-corrosion requirements.

The product adopts an integral stepped shaft structure, which optimizes the force distribution of each section under torsional load and avoids stress concentration at the step transition. The large-diameter head section is designed with two radial through holes of different sizes: the main hole is used for installing the fixing pin of the spiral spring blade, and the auxiliary hole is used for positioning and locking, which effectively prevents the spiral body from loosening and falling off during high-speed rotation. The small-diameter power end is processed with a standard flat keyway, which fits closely with the output shaft of the reducer to ensure zero slip during high-torque transmission. The end of the shaft body is reserved with an auxiliary positioning hole to improve assembly accuracy and disassembly efficiency.
The blank is formed by integral hot forging, with compact internal structure and no porosity or crack defects. After quenching and tempering heat treatment, it has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and can withstand long-term heavy-load continuous operation without fracture or deformation.
All dimensions are processed by CNC lathe with secondary fine turning, and the dimensional tolerance is strictly controlled within IT7–IT8 grade. It is fully compatible with conventional flexible screw conveyors of 100mm–160mm diameter on the market, and can be directly installed and replaced without secondary modification.
The surface is mirror-polished to reduce the friction coefficient with matching parts, and optional surface strengthening treatment such as chrome plating can further improve wear resistance and corrosion resistance, extending the service life by more than 30% compared with ordinary shafts.
We support fully customized production according to customer’s drawings or actual equipment parameters, including non-standard dimensions, special hole positions, special materials and surface treatment schemes.

It serves as the critical power transmission connection between the drive motor/gear reducer and the internal spiral conveying spring, delivering stable rotary torque for smooth conveying across horizontal, inclined, or vertical setups.
Yes. Precision-engineered to IT7–IT8 tolerance levels via CNC turning, the RT-SS series offers strict dimensional interchangeability and directly fits standard 100mm to 160mm flexible screw conveyors without secondary tooling or modifications.
For corrosive environments such as crude salt, washed salt, chemical powders, or food processing lines, SS304 stainless steel is highly recommended. For abrasive, heavy-duty industrial work, 40Cr alloy steel or quenched 45# carbon steel is preferred.
The large-diameter head is engineered with dual radial through holes: a primary hole for fixing pins and a secondary auxiliary hole for locking, ensuring the conveying spiral remains tightly anchored even under peak rotational speed and heavy load.
Yes. Non-standard configurations (RT-SS-Custom) are fully supported. We can manufacture customized shaft lengths (280–650mm), varying outer diameters, customized keyways, and specific hole placements according to technical drawings.
The integral hot-forged blank undergoes comprehensive quenching and tempering heat treatment, achieving a surface hardness of HRC 28–35 (up to HRC 45 for heavy-duty grades), eliminating internal porosity and preventing breakage under high-torque operation.
